Barn part 5 / Day 5

Today the crew finished the siding and the soffits on the building. Tomorrow they will finish the roof. I am having garage doors installed by someone local since Morton only doe's slider doors.

While the crew was finishing up on the siding I seeded and strawed the pond dam to keep it from eroding.

After the crew left I went to mom and dad's and worked in the garden. Since dad can't work in it anymore I pretty much have to keep it up which is difficult since I live about two and a half hours away but I manage. Mom and dad use to raise a hugh garden with all kinds of varieties of beans, corn, potatoes etc., but now the list has shrunk considerably. This year the garden consist of rhubarb, lettuce, radishes, cabbage, corn, yellow squash, zuchinni squash, green beans, tomatoes, okra, bell peppers, hot peppers, lima beans, egg plant, cucumbers red and white onions. We will plant sweet potatoes and turnips later.
Have a great day.

  1. I love the scaffold attachment, very nice. So, is this current post up-to-date, or did this happen a while back?

The garden looks great! It would be hard to maintain a garden that size from 2.5 hours away.
